Since we last posted about the topic of sharing, let's continue in that direction. We all want to know what you've been up to. I'll begin.

1. Got an encouraging rejection from one of my favorite literary agents.
2. Followed her suggestion and did a major revision and rewrite, adding 15K words.
3. Just sent the final draft to my editor for copyediting.
4. Will resubmit to my dream agent when completed.

And that's about the size of it. Now. What about you?

Have you finished a new WIP? Have you got a request for a partial or full? Has an agent made an offer? Is your book being released soon? Share.

Also, if you'd like to "friend" me on Facebook, I'll friend you right back.

  1. Just started querying a new book, this one for adults. And am revising another book for about the 9th time. And of course, while in the middle of all this, I had a fantastic idea for a new YA book that I really want to get started on. But I'm holding off for a month or so, letting the characters mature in my head while I work on everything else..

Congrats on getting your dream agent to read your book!

  2. I only got rejections from agents, though one of them said that if I had another story to by all means query them again. I'm working hard on getting another manuscript out to them, and in the meantime the novel which had been rejected is going to be published by a small press.

  3. Putting a query together right now - fingers, and everything else, crossed.

Been getting some nice feedback on the children's story I'm writing on my blog.

  4. Help! Can't see where to "friend" you on FaceBook - erk.
