We would only have to worry about the Indians. At least that was what Josiah said. But he was a dope, so what did he know.

    I like this. You've got the voice right for a middle grade reader. The sentences are short and crisp, easy to read.

    I like it, too. Good voice. My only confusion was the setting. Is it historical or are these kids pretending? The word "dope" threw me. I'm sure that's coming right up. I'd love to read more.
